The workshop was developed to promote expanded collaboration within Latin America’s extracellular vesicles (EV) community to strengthen regional research. The event aims to bring together students and researchers from biological sciences and health, focusing on mesenchymal stem cells, EVs from different pathogens, and their therapeutic use. Additionally, the program will address EV purification and biogenesis processes, their role as biomarkers, and therapeutic implications in various medical conditions. The workshop will consist of lectures by renowned EV researchers, followed by a practical course covering fundamental concepts and the role of EVs in physiological and pathological processes.
