O Laboratório de Pesquisa em Apicomplexa foi criado em 2018, tendo como o foco principal de pesquisa a investigação dos mecanismos moleculares e imunológicos de parasitas Apicomplexas, usando como modelo as espécies T. gondii, causador da toxoplasmose e Plasmodium spp., causador da malária.
